Company: Lizard Design

Company Location: The MedBIC, Chelmsford

Website: www.lizard-design.com

Duration of the Proposed Placement: Semester Programme / Summer Programme

About Lizard Design: Lizard Design is a business occupant at The MedBIC, Anglia Ruskin University’s Business Innovation Centre on the Chelmsford campus.  They are highly regarded as a specialist in the development of online management systems, websites and applications and are able to offer an attractive range of services tailored to meet client’s specific requirements. With a small but highly skilled team of recognised web developers, designers and project leaders, they are dedicated to ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standard, within budget and within the specified time scales. They are experts in tackling the major issues involved with online development such as project management, usability issues, cross browser compatibility, new technology implementation and marketing strategies.

Project Outline:

Having been established for over 18 years, Lizard Design is at a stage in their business growth when the company name and brand no longer relates to their main area of expertise around online systems development.  When they first were established web design was 90% of their business activity, however with new expertise and new clients it now only accounts for 10% of the activity.

The company needs a student to research rebranding options to ensure that their range of services are more clearly visible to companies looking for Online System Development or software development. Through the re-brand the company would also like to explore new marketing strategies to support the re-brand and potentially new business models that would help build profitability levels, eg: licensing options rather than one-off costs etc.

Tasks for the Research Intern:

The student will analyse the business activity and identify the keys areas lacking in the current brand identity and make recommendations to the business owners around possible changes and new key brand messages. They will help the business owners to explore the various research and to help them convey a new message by remodelling its identity, market position, company tone and so on.   By researching the current marketing strategies used and those used by competitors in the market they will make recommendations for changes in line with the proposed rebrand.

The Intern:

The successful candidate will have strong business and marketing education background with excellent research and written communication skills. They will be highly organised, with a passion for marketing and branding.

HOW TO APPLY:

Please forward a copy of your CV along with a covering letter and relevant supporting information to info@medbic.com by 5pm Monday 23rd April 2018, outlining why you would be a good candidate for this internship and how you believe it would help you develop your career and support the learnings of your university degree.

Digital technology has changed the world and everything around us dramatically over the last few decades and as a result, classical business models have taken a sharp turn. It will go on changing the way we work in the future in the 3 areas of automation, data and beyond reality. DigiTech Search were set up as a digital transformation recruitment business to support the demands of the ever-evolving technology markets which require adaptability and more than traditional recruitment methods provide.

Through our 20 years of experience in the European Tech Hubs we have been able to help companies to attract, retain and up-skill our customer’s teams, embedding ourselves within the tech community.
